A common discussion amongst the editors at the Ivyhorsemen.com is the absence of the younger generation of Americans in the national debate about big issues. Problems such as the rising cost of education, the increasing cost of living and a diminishing overall American job market has created conditions that are likely to progress into doom in the near future for anyone under the age of 40. Yet, the national discussion ignores or marginalizes just how severe the problems are.
As many of you are currently filling out loan applications and agreeing to borrow a large sum of money to pay for school, take some time out today to watch the following video from PBS's NOW. This episode titled "Student Loan Sinkhole?" does a great job of showing just how dire it has become for young borrowers to pay back the enormous debt we owe.
